Privacy Policy for NomadRates

1. Summary

NomadRates provides currency exchange rates, conversion tools, and related configuration-driven content. The app does not currently require account creation, does not provide user profiles, and does not allow user-generated content uploads. The app also does not currently include ads or in-app purchases.

2. Information stored locally on your device

To make the app work properly and preserve your preferences, NomadRates stores certain information locally on your device.

• Saved app settings, such as theme and launch behavior
• Favourite currencies and favourite conversion pairs
• Selected and default currency pairs
• Cached timestamps, refresh metadata, and similar app preferences

This local information is used to provide app functionality and is typically removed when you clear app data or uninstall the app.

3. Third-party services and technical data

NomadRates uses third-party services to improve stability, understand app usage, and deliver configuration or rate-related content.

• Firebase Analytics: may process app usage information, product interaction data, and technical usage analytics.
• Firebase Crashlytics: may process crash reports, stack traces, device information, operating system details, and similar diagnostic information.
• Firebase Remote Config: may process technical metadata such as app or bundle identifiers, locale or language, time zone, operating system version, country code, and fetch-related metadata in order to deliver app configuration.

4. Exchange rate data source

Exchange rate data displayed in the app is sourced from Open Exchange Rates. App configuration and some data delivery behavior may use Firebase services.

5. How information is used

Information processed by the app may be used to:

• Provide core currency conversion and rate display functionality
• Remember your settings and selected currencies between app launches
• Improve app stability, reliability, and performance
• Analyze usage trends in order to improve the product
• Deliver configuration-based content, feature flags, and rate-related settings

6. Sharing and disclosure

NomadRates may rely on service providers such as Google Firebase and Open Exchange Rates to operate the app. Data may be processed by those providers as part of delivering analytics, diagnostics, configuration, or exchange-rate content.

Information processed through the app is not sold. The app is not intended for cross-app or third-party advertising tracking.

7. Security

NomadRates relies on secure transport technologies such as HTTPS where applicable and on the security controls provided by the platforms and third-party service providers it uses. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Data retention and deletion

• Locally stored app data generally remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
• Analytics, crash, or diagnostic information processed by third-party providers may be retained according to those providers’ own retention policies and settings.
• Because NomadRates does not currently provide in-app accounts, there is no account deletion workflow at this time.

9. Children’s privacy

NomadRates is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children as a children’s app.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If changes are made, the updated version will be posted here and the effective date above will be revised.
